Repercussions for sexual immorality

hello, i was hoping to get some clarification about how people are disciplined for immorality as a jw.

i became involved with a co-worker a few years ago, she was fairly aggressive and she initiated a physical relationship very quickly.

at the time i did not know she was married and a jw.

What do you want out of the relationship? If she doesn't want the same thing, which it seems she just wants to have fun, then you can either live with it or move on. Either way is your decision, either way is hard.

She can't come out to her family about you or anything else, she would lose them, it's that simple. JW will expel anyone that is not associating with other JW's.

She would have to love you enough to give up all her family and friends. That's a big ask and you don't understand that aspect of her life, it's easier for her to hide than to do whatever she does with you.

Be honest with her and yourself, you are part of that life, as long as she wants to go to the Kingdom Hall and pretend she is a Witness, you can't be part of that part of her life and the other side can be crazy because if you've lived that long inside a cult, anything going on outside is going to be exciting and new. She's mentally a 16 year old without parents - I've been there.

If you're looking for a monogamous classic commitment then you're probably not going to get it. She won't marry you because she can't tell her family. She won't stay with you because it's too much fun moving around and she has extreme fears about being pinned down again.

If she was married and they are JWs, you have no idea the mental and psychological abuse women go through within the cult. That is the first thing that she has to overcome.

When Was The First Time You Ever Got Drunk?

i was 20 years old and at bethel for just a couple of months.

i was really depressed, as i was finding out what bethel was really all about.

i drank a whole bottle of cold duck, after a long hot subway ride back to brooklyn.

I was about 10. My grandparents had made wine from quince for the adults and juice for the kids. It was really good but I didn't notice the bottles had swapped and drunk a whole cup of wine.

After that, I think the first time I was drunk outside my parents' control was ~16, severe trouble with abusive stepfather, I went outside school for lunch and went to the bar to drink and play pool. I came back to school drunk several times, around 17 I got expelled from school for drinking too much and passing out on a school trip. I got a note that "your son has a drinking problem", the parents were sure a summer of pioneering would resolve that, during that time, I went to birthday parties of people I met on IRC and various clubs and raves. Until ~20yo I was a heavy drinker, that got better after my first divorce, but continued until I left the JW.

Is there a WT - Aspergers Connection?

so after much research, i'm convinced that my dad and both my older brothers have aspergers.

they can come across as jerks at times especially when their guard is down.

however, they can hide it extremely well when they want to, with pointed effort.

I think you're confusing Asperger with sociopaths. On the surface, Aspergers have sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies, but there are other things at play, people with Asperger are typically extremely intelligent at least in one topic.

This does not mean they can't be JW but they tend to at least eventually figure out the BS. They can be trapped due to family, fear or other reasons and if raised in the cult, the change in lifestyle necessary can be extremely difficult to deal with.
If you make it to the level of elder, you're most likely not an Aspie, but a sociopath, you have to morally and emotionally detach yourself to become an elder which is near impossible to do for someone on the autism spectrum.

There are various ways of sending texts. If you're using a cheap service, they use the email address your carrier provides to send text messages (Typically spam) for free.
For those services you do need the carrier as the lookup differs from carrier to carrier, if you want to send text messages properly, it requires you to sign a contract and pay a fee either for bulk messaging or per message.

When it pertains to property, we likewise get away with a lot. Women in the Bible are chattel, barely worth more than a sheep but definitely less than a cow. Whatever happens to them is just part of the story and not really important.

The Jews have a really good way of explaining the lessons without focusing on whether it is factual. If you're looking at the moral of the story, I'd recommend looking at Orthodox Jewish scholars for answers, the rest is just ancient story.

The interesting part is that Jesus came from a lineage of whoremongers and illegitimate children with a distant and somewhat dubious claim to the throne of David. It's why the Jews will never accept Jesus and why the New Testament is basically contradictory descriptions of lineage and apologetics on the character of Jesus.

I stopped trusting in Wikipedia after I found out the main editor for all Jehovah's Witness topic (there is a hierarchy of editors that can step in and edit or lock content) is actually a Jehovah's Witness.

A long time ago I got into an "edit war" regarding what was in the "Shepherd" book (the secret elder book) such as the two-witness rule. The editor stepped in and said this content wasn't readily available through official JW publications and thus should not be accepted, after pointing out it was publicly available and putting in references to both the book and media references. he/she commented "that is apostate literature" and closed the topic.

Be yourself and be safe (carry and insist on using protection), get tested. Beyond that there are no limits. Do what you feel is good for you and don't overthink it. When things go sideways or people tell you what to do, walk away.

Eventually you'll form an idea of what you are and what you like for a more stable relationship.

To find a date is easy, OkCupid or any number of dating sites will allow you to find all sorts of people within your preferences. AshleyMadison if you're looking for more private encounters and more experienced people. Stay away from the fling sites like PlentyOfFish, generally not worth it unless they have a scene you're into, check out FetLife if you're serious about those types of experiments.

driving by a kh yesterday we saw a for sale sign in front of the building.

it's on a beautiful piece of property off a main road outside the city limits.

the building can be no more than 10 years old and is very beautiful.

I helped with RBC on both Corry and Jamestown halls. Was indeed about 10 years ago. Knew quite a bit of people there back then, wondering who all quit because it was a lot of young people.

garden centres are opening in wales on monday, in england on wednesday, but by the looks of things, are far too dangerous to open them anytime soon in scotland or n.i.

Good for them. Businesses have to reopen or you'll have government run everything in short order.

The UK is not very hard hit in comparison with other countries, so reopening makes sense right now. Hospitals aren't overflowing due to proper policy which many lib-dem decried over the last years expanding private practice and with it healthcare capacity.

Having a devolved government policy is right in line with conservative values, local governments know better than a central government what their regions need.

Reasonable question - looking for reasonable responses!

why are taxi firms still operating during a "deadly pandemic?".

i was shopping yesterday and saw taxi after taxi picking people & their shopping up at the supermarket.

none of the drivers or any of the passengers wore masks or gloves, nor did they keep any distance from each other - in or out of the car.. the drivers all helped to load the bags into the boots/trunks of their cars.taxi-drivers must be seriously at risk of catching/spreading covid 19...

Same reason the public transport never closed for the homeless in NYC. Political interest.

This whole lock down is done to control people, to destroy the economy and to implement socialist ideals on redistribution of wealth, government income etc

The largest vectors of disease in NYC and LA are not only allowed to roam the streets but hospitals have to accept them and provide housing for them.

Private hospitals are on the verge of collapse if not bankrupt already, because lockdown policy without reimbursement. This is the largest government takeover of health providers, private business and public policy in US history.

The only reason we've been able to respond better than both Europe and South Korea is being destroyed, better testing per capita, better death rates per capita, better infection rates per capita and the leftists government is pursuing policies that were in place in NYC - the only place in the world where the disease is the worst - because failed government and failed government healthcare facilities.
